Man...

So it has been a really long time since I have posted something. I have been so busy! Marching is coming to close. It is always bittersweet. We had our last game last weekend and it was a pretty good game I think we won lol, it's been a while I don't remember lol. So the semester is almost over also and it flew by!! I'm ready to start with new classes and new people. I really like meeting new people even though I am shy. My classes have been going pretty good except for math. But I am trying soo hard to pass. The thing I am most excited for is getting an MC class for TBS next semester!

    My girls and I have been having lots of fun hanging out also. We have had our little fights here and there but it was nothing major. I love them all!! I guess I cant tell you all about them since you probably don't know who "the girls" are lol.

    Well first there is Ashley, or Ash. I met her last fall semester when I joined TBS. I never knew or talked to her before that and now we are always together. She is the greatest! To tell you all the truth, when i first met ash i didn't really like her. But having to hang out with her got us closer and then I realized hmm she is cool after all!!

                                 

   Then there is Amy. I also met her last fall semester but we really didn't become friends till spring semester last year. She is Ash's roommate so hanging out with ash is how I met her. Amy is CrAzY!! lol I love that we can act crazy together lol. (I can't do that with everyone). I can tell her just about anything and I am grateful for that.

   Next there is Jerica!!!! Oh man... So we met my junior year in high school and she was a sophomore. We are both in band and play the flute too. She is a pretty shy person and so am I so we got along pretty well. We are always together and we have lots of good times. I am soo grateful to have her as a friend. In high school I didn't have a car she did, so she drove me everywhere! Now I am a sophomore here at ASU and Jerica is a freshman.. Yup she followed me here. What a great friend huh?? I am glad she did. We have been apart for a whole year last year so having her with me again is awesome!! We have definitely had our moments in high school were we didn't get along but we have pushed through that and I am sooo glad we did. I love you Jerica!!!

    And lastly there is Amanda. I met her my junior year in high school also just like Jerica. We all played and still play the flute in marching band. I met Amanda and because of Amanda is how I met Jerica. But like Jerica, Amanda followed me here to ASU. So it it great us being all together like it was in high school.

I am soo happy for the friends I have and alllll they do and have done for me :):):):):):):):):):):):):)

R-A-M-S GOOOO RAMS, LETS GO!

So our first game was a success!! We won!! It was a pretty intense game too. We scored first and not too long after that they would score and it kept going on like that the whole game! It came down to like the last two minutes and they were ahead, and we were able to get one last touchdown!! woot!! It was pretty exciting. This weekend we head to Dallas to the Cotton Bowl. It kind of sucks though because we are leaving early Saturday morning and coming straight back after the game. But oh well, at least we get to go.  So school and band council and TBS has been keeping me crazy busy! I kind of like it though because without band and TBS I would probably just be in my room all day which is no fun.

   The weather this week has been pretty nice. I hate the crazy heat that we have here in Texas. I can't wait for the weather to start cooling down....Well it has been forever!! We had our second game now and it was our away game. We went to the Cotton Bowl!! Woot!! We won again! It was so hot humid outside! One of the dancers passed out and a bunch of the band people were pretty close to passing out also. It was ridiculous!! I have never experienced heat like that before. Once the second half started though a really big cloud ended up covering the sun and it felt so much better! So the second half of the game was so much more exciting than the first half. Way to go Rams!!

Our next game is the 25th of September!! It is family day!! My family is coming of course, and also.... my most favorite cousin is coming too!!! I am super super super excited!!!! Hmm.. what else.... My mom told me that if I make and A in math she will pay for me to get another tattoo!!! I really want another one!!! But then again I don't think I have ever made an A in any math class that I have taken ever. So we will see what happens. TBS rushes have started, not too many people have been coming to the rushes so I hope we can talk some people into coming to the rushes and joining! I have recently dyed my hair black also. Not too many people have noticed, but oh well. Not really anything else has changed so I hope you guys are doing good!

First week of classes

Hi guys! Well I hope the first week of classes went well, for everyone that actually started on Monday. My classes... They aren't too bad. The only class I really hate is math. Math is my WORST subject so I am taking remedial math. I hate it! The first day of class she lectured and assigned homework. Got to work on the bazillion problems she gave us. I checked them to make sure they were all right so I can start off good. I walk all the way across campus to my class. I sit down and open my backpack to take my folder out....and what do you know... I left my math folder in my dorm!!!!! I was so mad at myself!!!! So I am already starting off bad with that class. I hope I survive! Other than that my week was good. Band practice was cancelled for Friday which was pretty exciting so I was done at 11am!

The second day of class

     So on another note. I have never had my eyebrows waxed before. I am a big chicken. Well my friend was saying that she needed to go get hers done, so I told her to tell me when she goes so I can go with her and get mine done too. Well I was talking to my roommate about how bad it hurt. She made is sound horrible! So we walked into the nail salon and tell them we want our eyebrows waxed. She OK and had us sit down. Well I have seen people get theirs done before and usually they take them to a back room and do it there. Well not where we went! They did it right in front of everyone! Which made me even more nervous because I didn't know how I would react when the lady pulled the strip off my face. So turns out it doesn't really hurt. She did my left eye first and it got a little bit watery but it was nothing like I had imagined. I know now that I can go get them waxed instead of me plucking them!

Rambunctious weekend!

 Rambunctious weekend kicks off the start of the school  year here at ASU. It also signifies the end of early week!! So it has been a super crazy busy week for the members of the Ram Band! It has been so hot out and man it's a killer. My treasurer duties have started for band council and that has been keeping me pretty busy also. I think I am getting in the hang of the treasurer job so things should go smoother as the season goes by. It is pretty exciting that my section consists of more than 1 piccolo and 2 flutes like it did last year. My roommates are all moved in also and I like them so far. Oh! and the fire alarm has already gone off 2 times and school hasn't even started yet. Really guys learn how to make popcorn and it'll make life easier for all of us. Amy is here now too and I am excited for all the craziness for this year. My friends from Killeen are here too and man... one of them complains way too much. But she is my friend and I've learned to deal with it. I am almost done decorating my room and I love it so far!!! Just a few more finishing touches and it'll be done! I am read for classes to start and football games!! Woot! Oh! My most favorite cousin has joined the bloggin world also you should go follow her, joheezy.blogspot.com!

Tomorrow is the day!!

Tomorrow tomorrow tomorrow!!! Tomorrow I am going back!!! I am so excited!! If you can't tell already!! I think I have finally finished packing. I procrastinated big time!! Well I had everything packed except for my clothes. I have a lot of clothes though so yeah that took a while. I finally finished about 10 minutes ago. So today my mom and Tim took me to Chili's for my last dinner here. It was yummy!  I went to the pool one last time today with my sister and a friend hoping he would be there, but he wasn't...oh...well. I am so ready for football games!!YAY YAY YAY! Well keeping it kind of short today. I have a 5k tomorrow bright and early in the A.M. Then we are packing up the truck and heading to Angelo!! Well that's all for now!!

6 Days and Counting

I have 6 more days until I am back in Angelo!!! I am super super super excited!!!!! I have a week to pack all my stuff again. My week on the other hand has been kind of boring. I hung out with some old high school friends on Saturday! That was lots of fun. We went to the pool and got asked to go to a party. My friends didn't want to go though, and I sure wasn't going to go alone, so we didn't go. Oh well. It was really nice seeing them though!! Other than that nothing exciting. So the coming week will consist of cleaning and packing, and hopefully going to the pool a couple more times. Oh!! So today was the start of football!!! My mom is a die hard Cowboys fan and football season can get kind of crazy in this house, she yells at the TV as if she is at the actual game, it's kind of funny actually. And also today I was annoying my family with random facts. I found some pretty interesting ones!! Did you know that Walt Disney was afraid of mice! Did you know that a dogs nose is like a human finger print, they are all different. Did you know that Bill Clinton was in 3 pornos. Did you know... are you annoyed yet?? Haha I could keep going on and on but I won't, I guess that's all for now. Have a good week!!!!

Love Yourself No Matter What!

Ok so I came across this picture, and I give major props to this girl whoever she is. I know that would not be able to do that. I wish I was confident enough to pose for a picture like that. Well I guess this brings me to talking to all the girls out there who hate or don't their bodies. I know that I am far from the skinniest or prettiest girl out there but I accept that. I wish that you all could accept yourselves the way you are. You are perfect just the way you are!! When you aren't feeling too good about yourself go out and do something special. Go get your nails done, buy some cute new clothes etc. I like to dress up! It makes me feel pretty!! So when you aren't feeling too good about yourself don't mope around, do something that makes you feel good and go show your confidence out to the world!!!

Me and Ash's Adventure in Austin!!!

Ash came to visit me this past Sunday and I was super excited all day Sunday until she got here. As soon as she got here we took off to San Antonio to DCI, which is Drum Corps International. It was my first time going and I was amazed!!! They were sooooo good! We had a friend that had tried out for one of those bands and made it!! It was so cool watching her march!! Well the next day which was Monday we headed to Austin to watch Inception in the IMAX. I had never been to an IMAX movie before (yeah I am pretty lame I don't do anything or go anywhere haha) Any who the movie was really good. Well before the movie started we had time to spare so we walked to the Capital. We opened the door and there were two security guards there ready to check my purse. They had me put my purse in a bucket and walk through a metal detector, I walk through and what do you know... It starts to beep. I had pepper spray in my pocket. It was just Ash and I walking around Austin, you never know what could happen. Well anyways when the metal detector beeped another security guard said " Uh oh this girl is trouble." I pulled the pepper spray out of my pocket and said "It's just pepper spray" as I pulled it out to show him he said " You better not spray me because I'll spray you right back!" Then it was Ash's turn to go through the metal detector and... it beeped also. The security guard then said "Man.. these girls are trouble." Turns out it was just her belt. It was funny that they kept messing with us and it didn't hurt that they were pretty hot too!! We didn't stay long because it was time for the movie to start but it was a fun little adventure. 2 more weeks!!!

So my sister and I have been getting along pretty well this summer. Which doesn't happen all too often. My sister and I don't really get along. We probably fight more than we act like real sisters. I always wish I had a sister that was closer to my age that I could tell stuff to. My sister and I are 6 years apart and I don't feel comfortable telling her my secrets like I would tell some of my friends. I think me going off to college kind of helped our relationship since we don't see each other everyday. Hopefully as she gets older and more mature we will be closer. She came up to me one day and told me she predicted the future and this is what she said, "Jay when you move out and start your life I see us not even talking anymore." I really don't want that to happen. She is so annoying!!! But hey what are sisters for right? All I have to say is I don't want her prediction to come true. I want to be that older sister she can come to when she is having boy troubles or fighting with her friends or whatever it may be. I want to be that older sister that I never had. So if you and your sister or brother don't get along try harder, you might regret it if you don't.

I have about a month until it is time to go back to San Angelo. I can't wait to hang out with the girls again! ASU it has been too long and now I am ready to go back. I have 2 new roommates this year along with Shakitha, who was my roommate last year. I'm excited to meet them. Thanks to facebook I have talked to both of them and they both seem really nice. I am excited to see all my brothers and sisters again too!! The fall is my favorite time of the school year because of marching band!! WOOO!! I love performing for the people during the football games even though half of them probably don't pay attention. I like football too thanks to my mom. She loves the COWBOYS!!

On another note, I have an exciting weekend already planned!!! A family friend is coming to visit on Friday and they are bringing their adorable babies!! Then on Sunday Ash is coming to visit too! We are going to go to DCI!! I've never been and have only seen them on TV so I am pretty excited!!!

What a week!

It's been awhile,

Well last week was pretty fun. Went to North Carolina to see my brother's AIT graduation. I am so proud of him! He was in the top 20% of his class too! I enjoyed going to Ft. Bragg. It has been awhile since I had been there. My stepdad was stationed there when I was little. So I have a friend from high school that joined the Army too, and he was stationed there at Ft. Bragg also. I was excited hoping that I would be able to see him, but I didn't. After we left North Carolina we headed to Tennssee to visit with Tim's (stepdad) family. I really like going to visit them they are really nice. Tim's aunt Thelma was the one who got me interested in scrapbooking. She helped me start my first one!

Well I would like to leave you all with these sayings to say 5 times fast. It's kind of funny how they come out when you say them fast.

Happy 4th!!!

Hi everyone!!!!

Hope you all had a great 4th of July weekend!!! Well this past week has been a trip! My mom was trying to teach me to learn to drive standard. Well I know how I just need A LOT of practice. She took me driving around the neighborhood and I was doing pretty good until I got to this hill of DEATH! I stopped on the hill and it took forever to get going again, I kept rolling down the hill every time I tried to get the car going. A couple days later I needed to go to Hastings to take back some movies I had rented, of course mom made me drive the jeep, which is standard. On the way back home I was getting so frustrated because I stalling, and mom ended up driving the rest of the way home. We got home and my step dad was in a bad mood which isn't surprising. He kept getting angry with me about the cell phone bill and about me being lazy and blah blah blah. Have you ever been so angry that you wanted to cry? Well that is exactly how I felt. I tried my hardest to hold it in. Like I have said before I don't like to cry. It was really hard trying not to cry. Then Ash texted me!! I am so glad she did too. She made me feel a lot better and had me laughing.

The weekend finally came and had a bunch of my family from El Paso come and visit!! I got to see my most favorite cousin Johanna!!!! Before all my family arrived at my house Saturday afternoon my mom, sister, step dad and I got up bright and early to run a 5k. I was sure not prepared for that run. My time was horrible!! I am still a little sore!

The 4th was lots of fun! Went to the Freedom Fest and got to see Seether!! It was pretty AWESOME! After the concert sat there with my cousins and watched a pretty cool fireworks show. Every time we looked in the sky one of them would say what they thought the fireworks looked like, my cousins said stars and stuff like that. Then out of nowhere my little sister said "Woah!!! that one looks like a hamburger!" It was so funny! I think it was one of those you had to be there moments. Laughed a lot this weekend, I love having my family visit!

So last but not least I thought I would let you know what going on this week! Band camp was cancelled so I decided I would miss out on the TBS summer meeting and so see my brother graduate from AIT. We are headed to North Carolina tomorrow!! I am super excited!! I haven't seen him in a while. Then on the way back home we are going to stop in Tennessee to visit some family we haven't seen in about 5 years!! That's a long time!!!!! Well I am off to bed. Got to get up bright and early to pack!!

Hi guys!

Well I thought I would let you know how my weekend was. I hope yours was fun filled!! So Saturday my family and I went to Arlington to see the Texas Rangers play the Houston Astros. I was super excited on the way there because Ash and her family was going to be there too! We got there and man it was so very hot, and our seats weren't in the shade. My shoulders got kind of burned. I walked around the stadium with Ash for a little while so we could catch up on how ours summer are going. There are pics of me Ash and her sister on the rangers website too! I finally went back and sat with my family and we decided that it was too hot in the sun so we moved to seats in the shade. The game finally ended and the Rangers won!!! woot woot!! My family and I ended up getting lost in the huge parking lot and couldn't find the car. We walked around for a while trying to find the car. Turns out we exited the stadium on the wrong side. OH!! My mom got this great deal for the Great Wolf Lodge! If you don't know what that is you should look it up! It is in Grapevine TX and it is really cool!! That's about all I did this weekend. I also babysat Sunday which wasn't as exciting but it was OK none the less. So that was my weekend so now I will fill you guys in on stuff I am excited for!!

My first post!!!!

Good afternoon!!!

So this is my very first post and I am super excited!! I have so many things running through my mind I don't know where to start. Well I will start by explaining that I am not a Diva, it is a nickname that some new friends gave me because of my last name, it is a lot easier to say Diva then my actual last name.

I guess I can fill you in on my life so far. I finished my first year in college and it was horrible and great all at the same time. I moved in a week before all my other roommates because of marching band and that was the worst. I was in a new place, didn't know anyone, didn't have a car, and lived in the dorm all alone. That first week was the worst. I didn't realize how alone I was until that week. I called my mom every night and most nights crying. I have never cried so much in my life, and I hate crying. I associated crying with being weak, and I hated the thought of people thinking I am weak and pathetic. Once all my other roommates moved in and school started everything was getting so much better. Marching band kept me busy and helped me make new friends! I joined a sorority and am loving it!! I know now that I always have someone that will be there for me. I have made new friends that I hope will stick around for a long time. I might not have know my girls for very long but they are great! I can be my crazy self and them join me in my craziness!! Now that is it summer and we all went home for the summer I miss them dearly!!!! They are coming to visit in July and I am already super duper excited!!!!!! I am ready for school to start again in the fall. I miss San Angelo and want to go back. I have two friends that just graduated from high school that will be joining me in the fall, which I am also super excited about!!

My Girls and I

Well I guess enough about school. My dad just retired from the military after being stationed in Missouri for the past two years and now he is back home, so now my family and I have to get used to having him around again. My brother also finally decided to do worthwhile with his life and joined the military. He graduated in 2008 and decided college wasn't for him so he just stayed at home. I am glad he finally made the decision to do something worthwhile for himself. He has been gone for basic and AIT and haven't seen him in forever it seems like. I missed his graduation from basic training because it was in the middle of finals week. I was sad that I couldn't go but mom took pictures so I still was able to see him. He has his AIT graduation in July, but still can't go because of band camp. But after he graduates he gets to come back home!! So I will finally get to see him!

Can't forget to mention my baby!!!! His name is Chato and he is a Chihuahua. Well that is what the people said from where I got him. He is way to big to be a Chihuahua though. He has the same face but his body is like 10 times bigger. He is a spoiled brat and it killed me leaving him when I went off for college, but I am home now and he is loving every minute of it!! Well toodaloo for now!!!
